Awards for the 2026–27 olympiad
What a strong paper is worth.
Prizes are awarded at every level, so a student who does well in their own school is recognised even if they don't advance to Level 2 — and the teachers and principals behind them are recognised too.
Student prizes
Awarded per subject olympiad, so a student sitting both papers is eligible for both sets of prizes.
| Achievement | Prize |
|---|---|
| State Rank Holder (top 20 statewide, per subject) | Cash awards and certificate |
| District Rank Holder (top 3 per district, per subject) | Cash awards and certificate |
| Top 25 District Rank Holders (per class, per subject, per district) | Gold Medal of Distinction and Certificate of Distinction |
| Top 500 Students statewide | Certificate of excellence, with names published in the state rank list |
| School Gold Medal of Excellence (class topper, by school registration size) | Gold medal — awarded to the top rank holder or top 3 rank holders per class, depending on the number of students registered |
| Every participant | Certificate of participation |
Recognition for principals and teachers
An olympiad this size runs on the schools that organise it — so the foundation recognises the people behind the results, not only the students.
Best Principal — State
Presented to 30 principals across the state whose schools show outstanding olympiad participation and results: citation, trophy and cash. Additional principals are honoured with a certificate of appreciation beyond the top 30.
Best Principal — District
The top principal in each district also receives a citation, trophy and cash, recognising standout participation within their own district.
Best Teacher / Coordinator — State
Presented to 40 teachers and olympiad coordinators across the state for how they prepared and organised their school's participation: citation, trophy and cash. Additional teachers are honoured with a certificate of appreciation beyond the top 40.
Best Teacher / Coordinator — District
The top teacher or coordinator in each district also receives a citation, trophy and cash for their district-level contribution.
